Providence Medical Group is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Interventional
Cardiologist to join a high quality, supportive group of five Cardiologists.
The Providence Heart Institute at St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka and this
high-volume practice serves a large catchment area of greater than 150k
population and is the only interventional cardiology practice in the region.
You would be joining a very busy, high volume cardiology department that
is highly collaborative. Practice at Providence St. Joseph Hospital, Eureka,
a regional cardiology referral center with advanced STEMI designation,
two modern cath labs, level 3 trauma center, vascular surgery, neurosurgery,
advanced cancer care and a Family Medicine Residency Program. Join this

The Value of Working with Us
- Provide interventional call coverage 2–3 weekends per month, with
additional holiday coverage as available
- Optional opportunity to participate in general cardiology inpatient rounding
or consults
- Support an established STEMI program with rapid Cath lab access and 24/7
cardiac support
- Collaborate with a collegial team of experienced cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons
- Enjoy the flexibility of a per diem schedule while contributing to a growing
regional heart program.
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
- Must have Active California Medical License and California Fluoroscopy License
- Compensation for per diem roles varies between $3500 - $4500 per 24 hours
depending on procedural volumes, STEMI call/coverage requirements, and
clinic support needs.
The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and
may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance,
hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of
cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, a CME allowance
and other benefits offered by the medical group. Please note that this
salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to
variation due to the factors noted above.
