    Biography
    Dr. Lalitha Vakkalanka is a MD trained in Internal Medicine. She graduated from a medical school in India and completed internship at Emanuel Hospital in Portland/OR and residency in internal medicine at MLK Hospital in Los Angeles. For the past 20 years, her practice profile has primarily consisted of outpatient primary care while also having experience with hospital medicine. She has managed her own private practice in primary care and worked with major health care organizations (including the VA) in CA and OR. She has now joined the staff of Sunny Hills Medical Center and Urgent Care as Medical Director and Primary Care Provider. Her expertise is in preventative care for acute/chronic illnesses in adults, and in customized and lasting natural weight loss programs. Her passion lies in practicing “holistic” medicine wherein she combines using traditional practice of medicine with modalities such as meditation/yoga, diet, and exercise...
