Dr. Steven Smith, MD graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California, receiving a B.S. in Biology. He then went on to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated in 1980. Following medical school he went on to complete his residency in orthopedic surgery in 1986, at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

He specializes in orthopedic surgery, including trauma; joint replacement, including hip and knee reconstructive surgery and procedures; sports medicine; and non-surgical treatments.
