    Dr. Shoemaker spent 40 quality minutes in our appointment ( normally he informed me that it's 30 minutes.)I understand that the doctors need to keep a schedule. I very much appreciated his opinions, suggestions and extra time spent.
    Dr Shoemaker was a breath of fresh air as far as doctors are concerned. He spoke with me in a way I felt respected and understood as well as responding in a similar fashionFeels like a great fit and new addition to my medical team.
    Thorough check up.
    I thought he was very thorough and was very attentive
    Both of my younger daughters had been under GI care here, but we no longer have a GI specialist available. I requested a referral to Dane Shoemaker for each of them. We got an appt for one of them.

    Biography
    Dane Shoemaker is a certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) and digestive health specialist. He graduated in 1988 from University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor of arts. He has worked as a nurse practitioner in a number of different specialties but has decided to focus on gastroenterology and digestive health.

    Dane received his MSN from UCLA in 2008 and then earned an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) in 2012. He then went on to earn his DNP at California State University, Fullerton in 2018, and was a recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Scholar Award. He is excited to be providing care to Northern California Medical Associates patients and believes in educating patients on diet and lifestyle changes to help reduce risk of symptoms and disease.
