    Dane Shoemaker is one of the best humans I have ever met. He and his staff are stellar and they all deserve a raise and a more self care paid time off.
    Dane is great. He is patient as well as skilled in his area of expertise. I am lucky to be receiving care from Providence through Dane.

    I really liked the Dr. She was very helpful and understanding.
    I waited for the appt, and then the office ran an hour late. (staff nice/kind as always btw!) I was literally ready to leave. Then Dane Shoemaker showed up and was absolutely top-notch. He is now my new go-to for allopathic gut related issues and learning. VERY positive experience here and I'd seen my share of doctors. Very happy to have made his acquaintance! Worth all the hugga-mugga.

    Biography
    Dane Shoemaker is a certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) and digestive health specialist. He graduated in 1988 from University of California, Santa Cruz with a bachelor of arts. He has worked as a nurse practitioner in a number of different specialties but has decided to focus on gastroenterology and digestive health.

    Dane received his MSN from UCLA in 2008 and then earned an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) in 2012. He then went on to earn his DNP at California State University, Fullerton in 2018, and was a recipient of the Outstanding Doctoral Scholar Award. He is excited to be providing care to Northern California Medical Associates patients and believes in educating patients on diet and lifestyle changes to help reduce risk of symptoms and disease.
