I came in to talk about a hernia issue that I've been having, and he talked about hemorrhoids during the start of our visit, which is a different concern that doesn't concern him. He also mentioned that he had 30 other people he had to see and rushed me out of the office. I drove for hours one way to see him and felt like I was getting food at a fast food restaurant during lunch time

I've had a hernia that has been bothering me seriously for the past month. It has been giving me burning , intense pain about once a day, usually in the evenings since February [Date]. I wanted to ask Dr Schmidt what I should do about this pain and why was it happening so frequently. I didn't get a chance. He saw me for maybe 5 minutes, glanced at the hernia, said "see the scheduler. We'll fix it" he commented that I have an umbilical hernia also, but made no further mention of it. Was wondering if he could repair it at the same time It was 4:30 pm, no time for questions

I will see him again. He advised against surgery until I finished taking ulcer drugs
