    Biography
    Dr. Michele A. Okonski is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, graduating from Nova Southeastern University School of Psychology in 1995, with an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at the VA  Hospital in Loma Linda.  She has experience with inpatient and outpatient care on many different levels including treatment planning, crisis intervention, psychosocial evaluation and traditional  psychotherapy.  These roles give her extensive experience and training in different psychotherapy approaches, and strategies to provide personalized and customized treatment for each patient.   Her experience includes treating anxiety, depression, addictions/substance abuse and eating disorders.  This treatment approach provides a very safe and supportive atmosphere to reach treatment goals, typically including:  relationship and interpersonal coping skills, analyzing interactions between brain biology and behavior, understanding personality dynamics, addressing emotional difficulties, and personal development.  She is an expert in helping individuals replace maladaptive behavior patterns with more constructive and effective ones.
