    I was pleasantly surprised with the consultation/visit I had with Dr. Nakai. Upon entering the room, he extended his hand, looked directly at me, introduced himself. He explained his professional background (where he studied and received clinical experience in endocrinology). As a retired R.N., I recognized how he directed his questions to aid in ruling out conditions. He took the time to draw out and label the interactions within thyroid physiology. He asked for confirmation of my understanding. He ordered a few lab tests, when to have them drawn, and stated he would get back to me when results were available. VERY satisfied with Dr. Nakai.
