  • I love Dr Liang. She is very direct and holds me responsible for my half of health care team. Many people do not want that from their physicians, and do not want to be held accountable. I would only suggest that more support of possible options for non threatening issues be reviewed. Just because Dr Liang is not concerned about an issue a patient brings to her attention doesn't mean the patient will just forget about it.
Hope the provider can ask "do you have any question?" before his/her leave.
    I am a new patient.
This was my second visit with this provider. Experience was better this time.
Dr. Liang is awesome! This was my second visit with her, and after I left, I immediately asked the front desk to switch her to being listed as my PCP. She's so knowledgeable and a very good listener. She's thorough and spent enough time with me that I felt at ease. She focused on getting me information that I needed to ease my mind and also to educate me about what might potentially be going on with me. She was very thorough in explaining what tests she was ordering and their purpose, as well as laying out a plan of action and next steps once we received the results. I've already recommended her to my husband and will definitely recommend her to others-as long as that doesn't mean she's harder to schedule appointments with in the future, haha!

    Biography

What makes Internal Medicine so rewarding is the chance to develop personal, on-going relationships with my patients, whether they are 18 or 108. Patients immediately pick up on whether you genuinely care about them and their health. There is a famous quote by Theodore Roosevelt, "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care" – and that is especially true in Internal Medicine. Regardless of the physician's clinical expertise, a patient's ability to trust and feel comfortable with a doctor starts with whether that physician cares about them as an individual.

I enjoy caring for different generations, from those in their 20s, who need to understand how to keep and improve their health, to seniors, who often have complex, chronic conditions that require careful, consistent care. For every age, listening and education are key. The more I understand a patient's issues and concerns, and the more education I provide, the more empowered and effective they will be in improving their well-being.
