Experience was great.

I saw Dr Ko concerning chronic, severe lower back pain. I had been treated by him over 10 years ago. He reviewed by health record, asked pertinent questions and developed a treatment plan. I received bilateral injections in my SI joints. At the time the procedure was scheduled, I was also scheduled to see him for a follow up appointment. The treatment went well. At my follow up appointment, Dr Ko again reviewed my health and questioned the results of the injections. At that appointment, my next treatment and follow up appointments were scheduled. This means I don't need to call to make appointments, unless something in my health or pain levels should change. I find I am a little anxious before receiving the injections. I am put at ease by his staff and his manner. When I enter the treatment room, he is reviewing my records. His staff situate me and sterilize the area. There is also a technician operating equipment that shows Dr Ko the exact location of the needle in my lower back. The staff communicate with each other and I am constantly informed concerning the procedure. When the needle is placed exactly, then the medication is given. This is done on each side, but it only takes minutes. Dr Ko and his staff are kind and gentle. Most importantly, they are accurate with their placement. A few days after the procedure and as a precaution, I receive a call from one of his staff to check on me and inquire about any signs of possible infection. At this time I am also reminded of my follow up appointment. Even though I'm a little nervous on treatment day, I have great confidence in Dr Ko and his staff.

Everyone is always so kind and helpful...I feel like I'm visiting friends for a visit..not a health care visit!
