Dr. Bowen Jiang is a fellowship trained neurosurgeon and spine surgeon at St. Jude Heritage Medical Group. He attended college and medical school at Stanford University. He then completed his neurosurgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, which was ranked #1 in the country by US News and World Report during his training. While at Hopkins, Dr. Jiang was awarded the Frank Coulson Jr. Distinction for Clinical Excellence and the Walter Dandy Award for Excellence in Neurosurgery.
Dr. Jiang completed a CAST-certified fellowship in minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery at Johns Hopkins. During this time, he received dedicated training in complex spinal reconstruction and spinal oncology. Dr. Jiang’s clinical practice also includes neuro-trauma, minimally invasive cerebrovascular neurosurgery, and surgery for trigeminal neuralgia and Chiari malformation. Dr. Jiang has particular interest and expertise in brain tumors, such as meningiomas, glioblastomas, low grade gliomas, schwannomas, metastasis, and intraventricular tumors. For virtually all surgeries, Dr. Jiang utilizes minimally invasive and technology driven approaches to enhance the patient experience.
Dr. Jiang has published over one hundred peer reviewed scientific articles and book chapters, most of which are in the field of robotic spine surgery. He has worked as a medical advisor for several start-ups in medical device innovation. Dr. Jiang is available for consultation at both St. Jude Medical Center (Fullerton) and St. Joseph Hospital of Orange.
