    Samantha Hughes took a lot of time with me and understanding what my condition was and how it affected my quality of life and pain management. She was very empathetic and was concerned about longer term steroidal treatment and how it could affect me. She ordered a bone density scan.

    Biography
    Samantha Hughes is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She attended California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, CA where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Following her undergraduate studies, Samantha then pursued her interest in nursing, graduating from University of Alabama-Birmingham. While working as a critical care nurse in a surgical/neuro/trauma ICU, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Family Medicine from University of Alabama-Birmingham in 2020. Samantha then went on to complete an 18-month Family Medicine Residency at Santa Rosa Community Health Clinic, Santa Rosa in 2022. It is here where she developed a passion for Rheumatology. Samantha is originally from the Central Coast but has made Northern California her home. When Samantha isn’t at work, you can find her at home with her guitar typically singing songs by her favorite artists such as Hank Williams and Marty Robbins. Read More
