    Excellent care and service as in all St. Joe care giving. Thank you.
    This was derm appt for assessment of unusual skin areas potential for ca. Tried to make appt in Sep, first available was late Dec. Once I finally got in for the appointment the Dr and staff were excellent!! (Just spent a lot of time worrying while waiting for my Dec appt)
    Very nice person.
    I work outside for a living and am a fair skinned person. It has become necessary to have my entire body examined for potential issues. Dr G does this examination without making me feel uncomfortable or self conscious. She has a wonderful bedside manner and way of interacting with her patients that is extraordinary.
    Dr G is always energetic and eager to help. She truly cared about my needs and concerns.

    Biography

    Dr. Nilanthi Gunawardane is a board certified Dermatologist who completed her medical education at Harvard Medical School and subsequently a combined Dermatology and Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She worked for The Permanente Medical Group in Northern California for 8 years prior to moving to Orange County, CA.

    Dr. Gunawardane practices general and surgical dermatology. Given her dual training in Dermatology and Internal Medicine, she has a special interest in complex dermatological conditions such as bullous disease and connective tissue disease. Dr. Gunawardane believes that excellent patient-doctor communication is vital to providing the best care to each patient.

    In her free time, Dr. Gunawardane enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants with her husband and two children.
