Johan Forslund, MD

Dr. Johan Martin Forslund is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery. He completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine before finishing orthopaedic surgery residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, one of LA County’s busiest trauma centers. He pursued further subspecialty training at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, CA, where he gained additional experience in all facets of hip and knee replacement.

Dr. Forslund has a unique skillset that includes elective hip and knee replacement, complex revision of failed joint replacements, as well as fracture reconstruction following trauma. Utilizing state of the art technology and minimally invasive techniques, he performs partial and total knee arthroplasty, as well as both anterior and posterior total hip arthroplasty.

He takes pride in his ability to connect with patients and their loved ones on a personal level. He believes that patients should understand the rationale behind each treatment option and be intimately involved in the decision making process.
