    Professional, courteous and kind
    Even though all my medical info is in Providence system and I checked in online, the receptionist couldn't find it and made me fill out paperwork. Dr Dao was in a rush, even though she took me in prior to appointment time. I believe it's her personality. It was a new patient visit and she should have spent more time getting to know my history but was laser focused on one test result. Asked questions just to determine course of treatment. I was trying to process what she was saying. She listened but missed the opportunity to understand what is going on in my life right now. I felt I needed to make a f/u apt to share the missing info. We have since discussed it and I now feel comfortable with the course of treatment.

    Dr Dao listened to my concerns and provided very good explanations for my health issues. She was willing to assist me in getting lab work ordered and to try a route of care to see if that would have results for me and asked me to inform her if I didn't see results in the first 60 days. I felt she cared about what I was going through and wanted to help me to improve my health.
    Lisa Dao is efficient and has a thorough approach that invites collaboration.
    Dr. Dao is a wonderful doctor. I am so glad I migrated my medical care to her from my former endocrinologist.

    Biography

    Dr. Lisa Dao is an endocrinologist with Mission Heritage Medical Group. She completed medical school at the University of California, Riverside followed by her residency training at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California. She then completed her fellowship training in endocrinology at UCLA.

    Dr. Dao’s areas of expertise and clinical interests include diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, calcium disorders, and pituitary diseases. She is a compassionate physician who cares deeply for her patients. Her philosophy of care is building trusting relationships with her patients through shared decision making to help improve their quality of life.

    In her free time, she enjoys hiking, learning new recipes, and spending time with her loved ones.
