Dr. Nicholas Bond Burley is a hematologist/oncologist and board-certified internist with Providence Mission Heritage Medical Group. He provides care at the Leonard Cancer Institute at Mission Hospital, where he is committed to delivering personalized, compassionate, comprehensive cancer care.
Dr. Burley completed his internal medicine residency at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where he also gained experience caring for oncology patients at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He went on to complete his hematology and oncology fellowship at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, training alongside national and international leaders in cancer care at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
He is experienced in diagnosing and treating a broad spectrum of cancers—including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and head and neck malignancies—as well as hematologic conditions such as lymphoma, leukemia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, and clotting disorders. He offers a wide range of treatment modalities including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, mutation specific targeting agents, blood transfusions, and numerous medications to support patients through treatment.
Dr. Burley’s philosophy of care goes beyond treating the cancer and prioritizes each patient's unique circumstances, their priorities, and their goals. By focusing on caring for the patient as a whole, he provides a level of personalized medicine that promotes healing and wellness.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Burley enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, surfing the Southern California coast, reading, and cooking.
