    Always love going to Dr Miyamoto. He has been my doctor for years so we have a long history. It's easy to talk to him! !!
    A wonderful overall experience. Reception was very efficient. Anne called me within 5 minutes and reviewed my records in great detail. Dr. Miyamoto was methodical. He questioned, listened, took time with me and answered all my questions and concerns. This was an initial visit and I look forward to receiving future care from Dr. Miyamoto.

    Biography

    Dr. Miyamoto is a board-certified cardiologist with over 25 years of practice experience. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University where he graduated with Distinction and Departmental Honors. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Following this, he was a clinical and research fellow in Cardiology, Heart Failure and Transplantation at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.

    Dr. Miyamoto joined Mission Heritage Medical Group Cardiology in 1998 and has been involved in clinical practice, research and medical technology development. His major research interests focus on the fundamental aspects of cardiovascular disease, including imaging studies of ancient humans (mummies) as well as indigenous, pre-industrial populations.

    Dr. Miyamoto is very involved in developing technology applications for health care. He still strongly believes in the importance of the human side of the physician-patient relationship, though.
