Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor. He spends as much time as you need, and I never feel rushed. He takes time to answer any and all questions that I have. I highly recommend him.

I've been seeing a pulmonologist for the last 20 years (I'm a lung cancer survivor) and recently moved to this area where I had to find a new local one. I saw the first available (he has since retired) and then found Dr. Patel who is, without reservation, the finest pullmonologist I've ever been seen by. He is all the things one expects from a doctor such as being especially knowledgable, patient, caring and professional in every respect. In addition, at our first visit, he had examined my medical records in advance of my visit and, besides examining me for lung function, asked me when was the last time I had seen a cardiologist (which is not his particular specialty). I mentioned I had an appointment coming up shortly after not having seen one in several years. He urged me to make that appointment at which a serious deficiency with my heart was apparent. In doing so, Dr. Patel went above and beyond his primary responsibility as a pulmonologist and considered my whole health outlook. I am forever grateful for his suspecting my heart problem in advance and probably owe him my life for it since I shortly had a cardiac procedure performed at Providence hospital to install a stent in a [ID]% blocked artery. As for the puirpose of my visit with him (lungs) the day of this visit, he was more thorough than any pulmonlogist has ever been in my 86 years and explained my pulmonary issues with me far clearer than they had ever been explained before. I am very fortunate to have found such an outstanding doctor and am eternally grateful to have him as a permanent specialist. He is absolutely the best in my opinion and an example of what all medical providers should aspire to be.
