    Biography
    Dr. Catherine Nguyen is a board certified dermatologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the skin, hair, and nails. She sees both pediatric and adult patients. Her clinical and research interests range from general medical dermatology topics such as skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, and hidradenitis suppurativa, to complex autoimmune skin diseases. She has expertise in both the surgical and medical treatment of dermatologic conditions, including the use of biologics as well as in office procedures such as cryotherapy, intralesional injections, and biopsies. Born and raised in Orange County, Dr. Nguyen is delighted to be serving the diverse and vibrant community that she grew up in. After graduating from Stanford University with Honors, she attended medical school at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) School of Medicine. To further her interest in drug development in dermatology, she completed a highly sought-after clinical research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Dermatology under Dr. John Koo. During this year, she led several clinical trials studying new biologics for psoriasis. She has spoken at national dermatology conferences and has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in topics ranging from new dermatologic treatments to dermatopathology to pediatric dermatology. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Nguyen completed both her intern year and dermatology residency at the University of Cincinnati, where she served as chief resident during her last year.
