    Took the steps to get me referred to an out of network facility for specialized testing.
    He listens, educates me, and acts if necessary- always with patience.
    After my visit with Dr. Miyamoto, I feel very confident that I'm gonna get the best care of for my heart.
    The doctor was kind, answered questions, asked questions, took his time, we didn't feel like he had to rush and leave to go onto other patients. You had the feeling he cared about you, and what your needs are. He was easy to talk to, made you feel at ease. I am looking forward to being in his practice.
    Always love going to Dr Miyamoto. He has been my doctor for years so we have a long history. It's easy to talk to him! !!

    Biography

    Dr. Miyamoto is a board-certified cardiologist with over 25 years of practice experience. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University where he graduated with Distinction and Departmental Honors. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston. Following this, he was a clinical and research fellow in Cardiology, Heart Failure and Transplantation at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.

    Dr. Miyamoto joined Mission Heritage Medical Group Cardiology in 1998 and has been involved in clinical practice, research and medical technology development. His major research interests focus on the fundamental aspects of cardiovascular disease, including imaging studies of ancient humans (mummies) as well as indigenous, pre-industrial populations.

    Dr. Miyamoto is very involved in developing technology applications for health care. He still strongly believes in the importance of the human side of the physician-patient relationship, though.
