    Biography
    Dr. Andrew Truong is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is interested in the well-being and overall health of his patients. He attended UC Irvine where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and thereafter attended State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine for medical school. He remained at SUNY Downstate for his Internal Medicine Residency which he completed in 2018. During his time at UC Irvine and SUNY Downstate, he participated in numerous clinical research trials and was involved in several research publications.

    In addition to academic activities, Dr. Truong was elected to various leadership roles of different medical student and resident physician organizations, such as PRIDE club, Dean’s Council, Medical Student Council, and Housestaff Quality Council. After concluding his residency, he was selected to serve as Chief Resident at NYC Health and Hospitals/Kings County, one of New York City’s city hospitals and training sites for SUNY Downstate’s Internal Medicine Residency Program.

    At Kings County, he worked on residency and hospital led initiatives to improve the care and experience for both patients and physicians. He has an interest in delivering patient-centered care and partnering with his patients to create individualized plans of care based on his patient's own needs and goals.     Read More
