    Biography
    Elie Richa is a board-certified medical oncologist, hematologist and transfusion medicine specialist. After completing medical school at the Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon, he immigrated to the US where he completed his internal medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital, New York followed by a fellowship in blood banking and transfusion medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN. Dr. Richa served as an assistant professor and associate director for the blood bank at the University of Chicago, Chicago IL. Having in interest in hematology and medical oncology, he returned back to training, and completed the fellowship program at Stanford University School of Medicine. His first job was with Humboldt Medical Specialists, now known as Providence Medical Group. He also has been the medical director for the Northern CA Community Blood Bank. Dr. Richa is looking forward to being back in Humboldt County serving the wonderful community. He will be seeing patients in person and though tele-health as well as serving as the new Medical Director of the Cancer Center. He looks forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.
