Dr. Meaglia belives communication is the key to success in patient treatment and likes being a partner in the decision-making process with his patients. Interacting with patients on a personal basis and getting to know them well. Dr. Meaglia chose a career in medicine because he wanted to combine his zeal for science with helping people, and to make a positive effect on individuals' lives. In his practice, he enjoys getting to know his patients on a friendly basis, including their interests and needs. Dr. Meaglia enjoys golf and basketball. He has strong ties to the San Clemente community where his parents have also resided for the last 25 years.
Urology Six years of Postgraduate Specialty Training at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center were divided into two years of general surgery followed by four years of in-depth training in adult urology. During these years, he developed an avid interest in cancer surgery, benign diseases of the prostate, impotence, and stone disease.
