    Biography
    Dr. Garrett believes in treating the whole person and looks forward to partnering with patients for their cardiac health. She grew up in a farming community in New Mexico where she enjoyed riding horses and hiking in the Pecos wilderness. She later moved to California to attend Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, majoring in electrical engineering and history. Following graduation she worked as an electrical engineer doing hardware design for an avionics company. In 1987 Dr. Garrett attended Georgetown University to pursue a medical degree specializing in cardiology research. She then returned to Stanford University for a residency in internal medicine. This was followed by a fellowship in cardiology at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Garrett went on to spend 18 years at a busy tertiary cardiac hospital in San Francisco. Read More
