    I found this group when I needed a Dermotologist for a horrible skin irritation I was having. I was lucky enough to get Dr G as my physician and she could see me in a very reasonable time. She was so pleasant and understanding. After her original treatment didn't work, she had her office schedule me for a biopsy. She knew I was nervous about the procedure and made me completely comfortable with the process.
    Dr.G is so kind & really takes the time to listen to her patients concerns. She explains things so thoroughly regarding your situation & only wants the best for you as a patient.
    Dr G always has a smile on her face and is quite pleasant and very knowledgeable.
    Friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Gunawadarne found pre-cancerous skin cells and prescribed a medication to apply to my face. On this follow-up checkup she did not find any pre-cancerous skin cells.

    Biography

    Dr. Nilanthi Gunawardane is a board certified Dermatologist who completed her medical education at Harvard Medical School and subsequently a combined Dermatology and Internal Medicine residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She worked for The Permanente Medical Group in Northern California for 8 years prior to moving to Orange County, CA.

    Dr. Gunawardane practices general and surgical dermatology. Given her dual training in Dermatology and Internal Medicine, she has a special interest in complex dermatological conditions such as bullous disease and connective tissue disease. Dr. Gunawardane believes that excellent patient-doctor communication is vital to providing the best care to each patient.

    In her free time, Dr. Gunawardane enjoys traveling and trying out new restaurants with her husband and two children.
