    Biography
    Dr. James DeVore has practiced family medicine in Santa Rosa since 1980. He has served as the Medical Director of St. Joseph Health Medical Group since 2012 and is now currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer for the Northern California Region for St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare.

    Dr. DeVore has served as a leader in various capacities in the medical community and has been a consultant for the Medical Board of California since 1995. He has won the Press Democrat Reader’s Choice Award for Best Doctor in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017. He is a passionate and noted authority and speaker on doctor/patient relationships and personality styles and has authored the book White Coat Wrinkle on that topic.

    Dr. DeVore has been married for 46 years and has two kids and three grandchildren. In his personal time, he has a passion for racing triathlons and endurance events, backpacking, running trails, fly-fishing, peak-bagging, and partaking in outdoor adventures.     Read More
