    Biography
    Dr. Juline (Julie) Caraballo Fonseca joined FamilyCare Allergy & Asthma in 2018, providing the region with greater access to trusted allergy care. Dr. Caraballo Fonseca grew up in Venezuela, where she completed her medical school, followed by one year of work in a rural community as primary care physician. She moved to the United States in 2013 and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2016. She fell in love with the people and decided to stay at the University of Iowa for her Allergy and Immunology fellowship, which she completed in 2018. After 5 years living in the Midwest, she decided to change to a warmer climate reminiscent of her hometown. The ideal weather, diverse landscape, and being closer to family is what convinced her to make California her new home. Dr. Caraballo Fonseca and her husband Ben reside in Sonoma County and enjoy spending time with family, friends, and going on hikes and adventures with their dog, Jasper.
