    Biography
    Dr. Amine Chahbouni was born in Chicago, Illinois but spent most of his childhood in Algeria, North Africa. Through his frequent travel to many neighboring countries in the Mediterranean, he developed fluency in Arabic, French, and Spanish. Dr. Chahbouni moved back to the United States at the age of seventeen and pursued his undergraduate career in Biological Science at the University of California, Irvine. As a pre-med student, Dr. Chahbouni volunteered in many clinics in rural and underserved communities. He also traveled frequently to Mexico where he delivered medication and supplies and helped doctors provide free medical care to a poor farming community in the border city of El Testerazo. Dr. Chahbouni attended Osteopathic School of Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Downey Regional Medical Center. As a resident, he joined Imperial Primary Care Medical Group to work in the after hours clinic. He has covered many nights and weekends and continues to do so in the present. Dr. Chahbouni has also served as Medical Director at Harbor Community Clinic in San Pedro and has been granted a Congressional Commendation Award for his service and dedication to helping the medically-indigent population there. During his spare time, Dr. Chahbouni enjoys playing soccer, listening to world music, and spending time with his wife and four children.
