My professional interests include providing a whole mind and body perspective in treating and preventing illness. Being able to develop strong patient- doctor relationships is what I truly strive for since it forms the foundation for personalized medicine for all ages going forward.
Seeing my patients get well and stay well keeps me motivated and excited in being a family doctor. Although our treatment scope is broad, I have found interest in treating chronic joint and muscle pain such as arthritis and fibromyalgia and when possible using restorative therapies.
Also keeping up with advances in genomic medicine, mood and hormone disorders as well as difficult autonomic disorders such as POTS allow me to help many patients in these grey areas of medicine. Although the most challenging are also the most rewarding. Working together with our specialty colleagues as a coordinated team forms a great tapestry for healing and prevention. Also, being fluent in Spanish will allow me be to help treat a sector of the population that may be underserved.
I recently moved here with my wife from Bethesda Maryland where I worked in private practice and taught part- time for Georgetown University 3rd year medical students for many years.
Currently I love to explore California’s trials, parks, rivers and vineyards and recently have been road biking. Also, I enjoy spending time with my three grown kids and a very recent granddaughter.
